Clinical Fellowship Skills Inventory (CFSI) Prior to completing the CFSI below, CF mentors and Clinical Fellows must verify that their CF mentor’s CCC-SLP is current and that the CF mentor has met the requirements to be eligible to supervise in accordance with the 2020 Standards (Standard VII-B), and must read the, Clinical Fellowship Skills Inventory (CFSI) Speech-Language Pathology Description Of The Inventory The CFSI consists of 18 skill statements covering four areas: (a) evaluation, (b) treatment, (c) manage-ment, and (d) interaction. The rating scale for each skill has been designed along a 5-point continuum,, The CF is designed to: Integrate and apply theoretical knowledge from academic training Evaluate strengths and identify limitations Develop and refine clinical skills consistent with the SLP Scope of Practice Advance from constant supervised practitioner to independent practitioner, The Clinical Fellow and mentor must participate in regularly scheduled formal evaluations where they will discuss the Clinical Fellow’s progress on the skills listed in the Clinical Fellowship Skills Inventory form [PDF] and areas of accomplishment or concern. These ratings will be transferred to the SLPCF Report and Rating form and both the Clinical Fellow and mentor will sign the form.
